Açaí[音标：asa`i]这名字就比较独特，貌似法语词，又据说是葡萄牙语。查了辞典才知道，在英语里写作assai，音译做阿萨伊。是一种紫色樱桃状的果子，来自于一种叫做蔬食埃塔棕（Euterpe oleracea palm）的植物，也生长在亚马逊的漫滩和湿地地方。Euterpe是植物的属名，oleracea是种名。Euterpe这个词来自于希腊神话中的缪斯女神之一Euterpe（欧忒耳佩）。她是主管音乐和抒情诗的女神，高、苗条、婀娜多姿。而这种以她命名的棕榈树也的确是很漂亮，引用的还挺传神。有时候我觉得西方因为有了希腊这个文明的摇篮，才不至于在非物质文化上过于寒酸...
